A manufacturing organization are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant. In this role, you will support financial reporting, consolidation activities, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, technical accounting research, and compliance initiatives across a complex, multi-entity business environment.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage fixed asset accounting processes and maintain lease accounting records in accordance with ASC 842
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including reconciliations and reporting deliverables
- Assist with consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations and multi-entity reporting
- Partner with business units and subsidiaries to maintain consistent accounting practices and reporting standards
Technical Accounting & Compliance
- Research and evaluate accounting issues and emerging guidance to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Support implementation of new accounting standards and accounting policy updates
Audit, Controls & Governance
- Partner with external auditors during annual audits and interim reviews
- Support the design and execution of internal controls and financial governance processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as a key contact for outsourced tax providers to support compliance and reporting activities
- Collaborate with risk management and other internal stakeholders on reporting requirements and disclosures
Requirements:
- 3 years of accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a related environment
- Experience with lease accounting and fixed asset accounting preferred
- Experience working within large or complex organizations, ideally within manufacturing or multi-entity environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred
- CPA is preferred
