Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager     

Location: Missoula, MT (On-Site)

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that every product leaving our facility meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, performance, and customer satisfaction. The wage range for this position is $24-$29/hour.

This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, monitoring product quality throughout warehouse operations, and verifying that finished goods meet Sun Mountain's expectations before shipment. Supervisory Responsibilities:

·        None

Duties/Responsibilities:

·        Inspect incoming products, components, and materials for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

·        Perform detailed quality checks on golf bags, carts, outerwear, and other Sun Mountain products before shipment.

·        Identify, document, and report product defects, inconsistencies, or damage.

·        Verify product labeling, packaging, and order accuracy.

·        Maintain quality records and inspection documentation.

·        Work closely with assembly, transport, inventory, and shipping teams to resolve quality issues.

·        Support root-cause investigations and corrective action processes.

·        Ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness standards are maintained.

·        Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

·        Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and other warehouse duties as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·        Previous warehouse, quality assurance, manufacturing, or inspection experience preferred.

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.

·        Ability to follow written procedures and quality standards.

·        Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

·        Quality Technician certification (or equivalent certification) or minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance, quality control or manufacturing operations.

·        High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

·        Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move products throughout the workday.

·        Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
