About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of high‑performance applications within a financial services environment. This role blends hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, guiding a team of developers while contributing directly to mission‑critical codebases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers through the full development lifecycle.
- Architect, design, and build scalable, enterprise‑grade applications using modern Java technologies.
- Write high‑quality, maintainable code and step in as a primary contributor when needed.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and business teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Implement engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, and performance optimization.
- Utilize Claude.ai AI to enhance development workflows and improve engineering efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure system reliability, security, and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Core Java and the Spring framework.
- Hands‑on experience developing front‑end applications with React.
- Experience using Claude.ai AI to support coding and development tasks.
- Proven experience leading a team of engineers in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to produce high‑quality code and contribute directly when needed.
- Financial services industry experience is required.
- Must be able to work on W2. No sponsorship, C2C, CTH, or third‑party sub‑vendors.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
