Our client is looking to add a developer to the Application Development team. You will be responsible for the design and code of functional programs and applications. The Developer will work as part of a team and individually to meet the requirements of the position. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset and keen eye for detail with the goal of writing clean code to produce fully functional software applications according to business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications to support the business operations
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing codebases and database queries for performance and scalability
- Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with third‐party systems
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, security, and data integrity
- Document technical specifications and system architecture
- Learn and adapt to changes in requirements from the business
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline
- Bachelor's degree and 3 plus years, or Master's degree and 1 plus year, of recent experience in application development
- Expert level knowledge and experience with C# and SQL
- Understanding of Object‐Oriented Programming and design patterns
- Knowledge of relational database design and development, ideally with SQL Server
- Strong understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and system integrations
- Excellent problem‐solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment
- Desire to build a foundation in the institutional financial field, with a specific focus on accounting, investor reporting or operations a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an alternative investment environment
- Familiarity with APIs, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), AWS or other cloud environments,
- Power BI, Test Automations, Office Products
- Knowledge of financial instruments and portfolio management processes.
Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
