We are seeking a full-time, in-office Central Operations Specialist II–III to join our team at the Bicentennial location. This position performs a variety of essential duties in support of the bank’s back-office operations and provides intermediate to advanced-level assistance to internal and external customers with deposit and online banking products. This position may also serve as the bank’s primary expert in at least one specific area within Central Operations.
Primary Functions:
- Perform daily processing and ensure timely completion of tasks related to ACH, including returns, originations, customer support, and reviews.
- Handle all aspects of wire transfers, including input, verification, reconciliation, and agreement setup.
- Manage remote deposit capture (RDC) activities, such as review, troubleshooting, new setups, and customer training.
- Oversee lockbox payments, ATM/debit card disputes, chargebacks, and exception items (NSF and non-posted).
- Conduct reconciliations for ATM settlement accounts, concentration accounts, and official check accounts.
- Process affidavits, breach of warranty claims, legal orders (levies, subpoenas), collections, dormant accounts, and escheatment.
- Monitor daily activity for discrepancies or red flags and support internal/external audits.
- Complete assigned monthly and quarterly certifications.
The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and an intermediate to advanced understanding of deposit and online banking products. While some guidance may be needed for more complex tasks, the Specialist is expected to operate with a high degree of independence in most areas and demonstrate expertise in at least one Central Operations function. Pay Range: $24.00 - $29.00/hour.
Minimum Requirement: At least one year of relevant experience in banking operations or a related field.
