Hiring for a warm, caring F/T Front Office Team Member to join our fabulous team! Summit Therapy provides speech and occupational therapies to children and adults with disabilities. Our mission is to expand the reach of our services to touch the lives of more families and the surrounding areas of DFW. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. Our offices are located in Frisco and McKinney, Texas. The individual must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism to work successfully with staff members, clients, and payors. The primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Collect copays and deductibles
- Apply payments to accounts
- Basic sending out charges from the previous day for processing
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (check in/check out)
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Take payments on payment system
• Learn software system/EMR familiarity
• Schedule patients
• Other duties such as check out
• File paperwork
Education, Experience and Skills:
• 2 years or more experience in outpatient medical settings
• Certified Medical Coder designation preferred
• Excellent organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience using electronic medical records applications
• Working knowledge of HIPPA regulations
• Excellent interpersonal skills; and good oral and written communication skills.
• Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or equivalent G-suite applications (Word, Excel).
- Must be able to read and write in small print
- Utilize our payroll system to report time worked and request time off.
• Abide by all company Policies & Procedures.
• Assume other projects and responsibilities as assigned by my supervisor. - Physical Requirements:
- • Must be able to lift at least 30lbs.
• Must be able to interact verbally with children, caregivers and the public.
• Must be able to type on a keyboard.
• Must be able to answer telephones.
• Must be able to sweep/mop and perform general cleaning duties.
