Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a reliable and versatile Maintenance Technician to support facility operations through preventative maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and grounds. This position requires a well-rounded skill set across multiple trades and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing maintenance tasks while maintaining a professional presence with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs based on work order requirements
- Maintain and repair building systems and components using multi-trade skills, including:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Painting
- Roofing
- Basic HVAC support
- Execute routine preventative maintenance (PM) on mechanical systems
- Perform minor plumbing repairs (e.g., unclogging drains, repairing leaks, replacing fixtures)
- Complete general carpentry and painting tasks to maintain facility appearance
- Conduct minor electrical repairs within regulatory guidelines (e.g., replacing outlets, switches, fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts)
- Perform service and asset inspections as required
- Maintain facility cleanliness, including trash removal and minor landscaping duties
- Procure necessary tools, materials, and supplies to complete assigned tasks
- Accurately document completed work and labor hours in CMMS systems
- Participate in required safety training and attend regular safety meetings
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Follow proper procedures for equipment use and maintenance
- Complete all required safety and compliance training
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
QualificationsEducation
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Technical or trade school training preferred
Experience
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
- Equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience will be considered
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license required
Technical Skills
- Experience using CMMS systems required (Corrigo preferred)
- Comfortable using mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones for task management
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety policies, procedures, and technical instructions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in individual and small group settings
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
