What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Curative Processor (Tier I) position at Summit Settlement Services, LLC?
The Summit team is responsible for providing fast, accurate delivery of real estate services and products to our customers. The team’s goal is to keep the transaction moving, while also providing answers to any product or service related questions from clients and consumers.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve document images from title plants and other sources.
- Prepare and review title commitments for delivery.
- Review vesting-related legal documents (e.g., deeds, trusts agreements, divorce decrees, death certs).
- Clear outstanding liens and judgments using available resources.
- Order, prepare, and review payoffs, subordinations, deeds, affidavits, certificates, and other documents.
- Follow up with vendors and workshare partners on outstanding deliverables (e.g., search packages, commitments, policies).
- Calculate and verify settlement fees, title premiums, and recordation fees/taxes being collected.
- Complete tasks and respond to emails / phone calls in adherence with Company and Department SLS (Service Level Standards).
- Ensure that all state specific compliance requirements/processes are met and adhered to.
- Follow outlined company compliance guidelines.
- Manage varying client expectations and requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and requirements:
- Computer proficiency required.
- Associate's degree (or higher) required.
- High attention to detail and an aptitude for performing research.
