What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher (Summer Camp) position at SUMMIT Early Learning?
We are looking for caring individuals who have a passion for helping children learn and grow and making a difference in the lives of children and families everyday. We need a motivated and caring individual to work with school-age children (ages 5-12) in SUMMIT’s Summer Camp Program in Lewistown. Must have good communication skills and an interest in child development.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education: high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years’ experience working with young children.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the summer camp teacher with the daily functions and general planning of the summer camp program. Be emotionally responsive and supportive of the individual development of each child. Supervise and interact with children in all activities. Promote positive communication with parents. Maintain health and safety standards of the program.
LOCATION:
LEWISTOWN CHILDREN’S CENTER, Lewistown, PA
HOURS & SALARY: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday through the summer months. Wage/hour is $15.67.
