What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher - Child Care position at Summit Early Learning?
SUMMIT Early Learning is looking for caring individuals who have a passion for helping children learn and grow and making a difference in the lives of children every day. There are several positions available.
Join an established Early Childhood agency! Must have an interest in child development, a flexible personality and enjoy variety in daily work routines. All candidates must have a desire to work with children and families, be committed to professional development, and be team players.
Prefer someone with a Child Development Credential (CDA) or an associate's degree in early childhood education.
Hourly wage is dependent upon level of education:
High School diploma: $15.00/hour
High School diploma and 2 years' experience working with young children: $15.56/hour
CDA in preschool or infant/toddler: $16.81/hour
Associates degree in Early Childhood Education: $17.40/hour
Requirements that must be satisfied prior to hire: a) education qualifications, b) proof of degree/certification and experience to meet the qualifications of the position, c) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record check, d) Child Abuse clearance, e) FBI fingerprint clearance (DHS), f) National Sex Offender Registry Verification, and g) successful completion of pre-employment physical examination which includes a Tuberculosis screening.
