Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and motivated Substitute Teachers to step into classrooms and inspire students across diverse age groups and educational settings. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons, manage classroom behavior, and support student learning in the absence of regular teachers. This paid position offers flexible scheduling and the chance to make a positive impact on students’ educational journeys.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher or develop your own based on curriculum guidelines
- Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
- Engage students through effective teaching strategies tailored to different age groups and learning styles
- Support students’ social-emotional development and address individual needs, including working with children with autism or special education requirements
- Maintain classroom order and ensure adherence to school policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents as needed
Experience
- Prior classroom experience or substitute teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is advantageous
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and working with students with diverse needs including special education or autism spectrum disorder
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Background in tutoring, literacy education, math instruction, or childhood development is a plus
Pay: $95.00 - $190.00 per day
