What are the responsibilities and job description for the VDC/BIM Director position at Summit Construction Advisors?
We’re partnering with a leading electrical contractor to hire a Director of VDC / BIM to lead and elevate an established digital construction team.
This is a high-visibility leadership role focused on driving consistency, strengthening execution, and advancing how VDC supports project delivery across large-scale projects.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of BIM/VDC professionals
- Standardize workflows and improve consistency across projects
- Partner with operations and field teams to integrate VDC into execution
- Oversee coordination, modeling, and constructability efforts
- Support prefabrication, planning, and model-based workflows
- Drive continuous improvement across tools and processes
What We’re Looking For
- 10 years in BIM/VDC (electrical or MEP required)
- Leadership experience at Sr. Manager level
- Experience on large-scale commercial or complex projects
- Strong with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and and AutoCAD
