About the Job
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction efforts across large commercial electrical projects in Las Vegas, NV. This role is responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates while partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support successful project pursuits.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the front end of the construction process and wants to play a key role in shaping project strategy, pricing, and execution before work reaches the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and buyout packages.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope and requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop conceptual, budgetary, and final estimates.
- Analyze project risks, assumptions, and value engineering opportunities.
- Participate in job walks, bid reviews, and client-facing presentations as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with leadership and operations teams to support planning, scheduling, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure all estimates are well documented, accurate, and submitted within required deadlines.
- Maintain organized records of bid documents, pricing information, and project data.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience estimating commercial electrical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project scope development.
- Experience performing detailed takeoffs and managing multiple bids simultaneously.
- Proficiency with estimating and construction software such as Trimble Accubid, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Professional presence with the ability to represent the company in client-facing situations.
Compensation & Benefits
- $100,000 - $140,000 base salary, depending on experience
