Our client is seeking an experienced BIM Technician to support Operations on large-scale commercial electrical construction projects. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to produce accurate construction drawings, installation details, and project documentation that support successful execution in the field.

What You'll Do
- Develop, revise, and maintain electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Produce installation drawings, equipment layouts, conduit routing, and construction details that support field operations.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and field personnel to incorporate design revisions and resolve constructability challenges.
- Review contract drawings, specifications, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the life of each project.
- Coordinate with BIM/VDC teams when applicable to support project coordination and shop drawing development.
- Assist Operations with drawing updates driven by field conditions and project changes.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes.
- Support multiple active projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2 years of drafting experience supporting commercial electrical construction projects.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installation methods.
- Experience supporting active construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for an electrical contractor.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, Navisworks, or other BIM software.
- Familiarity with shop drawing production and field coordination.
- Experience supporting Operations or project teams rather than engineering design.
