Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to support aerospace manufacturing operations. This role focuses on setting up and operating multi-axis CNC lathes to produce high-precision components while maintaining strict quality and tolerance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC lathes (Okuma, Doosan, etc.)
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process sheets
- Machine complex aerospace parts to tight tolerances (±.0010”)
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Adjust tooling, speeds, and feeds for optimal performance
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with teams
- Follow AS9100 / ISO quality standards and maintain documentation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 10 years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience
- Strong knowledge of multi-axis machining and GD&T
- Experience machining materials like Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel
- Proficient with inspection tools and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior machinists
- Familiarity with Okuma/Fanuc controls preferred
Salary : $58,240 - $74,880
