What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping (Seasonal) position at Summit Bechtel Reserve?
Position Overview
To provide a clean and safe atmosphere for our guest and staff while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness throughout of facilities and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean building floors, common areas, bathrooms, and rooms with sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
- Stock restrooms, storage areas, and maintenance supplies with cleaning equipment.
- Use property management system to identify and prioritize cleaning tasks.
- Assist with room turnovers ("flipping") in hotel and bunk houses.
- Maintain a cleaning log to track completed areas and inspections.
- Report on unsafe conditions or required repairs to supervisors.
- Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
- Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
- Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18
- General computer knowledge
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
PhysicalPractical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
- Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
