As a full-time Septic Sales & Service Technician, you will play a key role in being responsible for diagnosing system conditions, educating homeowners, and providing estimates for septic repair and replacement services. This role combines technical expertise with sales and customer education to guide homeowners toward compliant, cost-effective solutions. The Technician works closely with installation and permitting teams to ensure smooth project completion and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of septic systems and provide clear diagnostic summaries to homeowners.
- Educate customers on system health, repair options, and replacement opportunities to ensure informed decisions.
- Prepare and present written estimates and proposals for repairs, installations, and maintenance plans.
- Assist homeowners with financing options and required documentation for services.
- Coordinate with permitting authorities and internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth project execution.
- Stay current with local regulations, IOWPA standards, and advancements in septic technologies.
- Document all customer interactions, system findings, and proposed solutions accurately.
- Follow the company sales process and maintain performance goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with field teams to schedule and complete installations or repairs efficiently.
- Accurately record system component details, services completed, and customer discussions on invoices.
- Participate in ongoing training and mentorship opportunities provided by the company.
- Uphold company policies, safety protocols, and a professional image at all times.
- Maintain company-provided vehicle and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
- Respect customer property and foster a positive, respectful work environment.
- Report any issues or concerns to ownership or HR to support a healthy workplace culture.

Qualifications
- CDL Required
- IOWPA Installer and Inspector Certification, or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to educate and guide homeowners.
- Technical aptitude for diagnosing and explaining septic system conditions and solutions.
- Ability to prepare clear written estimates and documentation.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and maintain accurate records.

- Ability to pass background, driving, and drug screening
