Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Responsibilities & Expectations
- Displays overall culture, values, mission, and spirit of the company through exceptional customer service and overall attitude.
- Ensures that all employees provide a positive guest experience with excellent customer service and positive interactions with our customers, vendors, and employees.
- Coordinates and oversees the daily workflow of baristas to maintain speed of service and the most efficient process for serving customers.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
- Demonstrates proper attendance, punctuality, customer service, and overall attitude.
- Monitors departmental performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Assist General Manager with employee development, including coaching and redirection in a constructive manner.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and inquiries.
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
- Assist General Manager in communicating and administering all company policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with General Manager to cultivate an environment of encouraging employee progression.
- Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of equipment and communicating repair needs.
- In the absence of General Manager, completes necessary tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
- Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Ability to walk, bend and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written formats.
- Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
- Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent customers.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
