- Greeting & Check-Ins: Welcome all clients and dogs with enthusiasm, remembering regular pets and owners by name. Process check-ins and check-outs seamlessly for dog boarding, daycare, and grooming. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Communications Management: Manage a busy multi-faceted environment answer emails, and respond to text or web inquiries promptly. [1, 2, 3]
- Reservation Scheduling: Schedule and manage complicated calendars using pet tracking software (e.g., PetExec, Kennel Connection). Ensure grooming times are spaced properly and boarding spaces are optimized. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

2. Health, Safety & Records Management
- Vaccination Verification: Request, input, and audit required veterinary immunization history (Rabies, Distemper) before accepting pets into the facility.
- Pet Profiles & Logs: Accurately record specific health requirements, dietary preferences, or behavioral notes in our facility’s daily activity log. Communicating details clearly across shift changes.

3. Financials & Sales Promotion
- Payment Processing: Process cash, check, and credit card transactions accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal. Balance the cash drawer during opening and closing shifts.
- Package & Retail Sales: Educate new clients on our daycare packages, boarding options, training options, and grooming add-ons (like nail trims or de-shedding treatments). Oversee and upsell retail products.

4. Pet Care Support (As Needed)

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–2 years of prior experience working at a dog daycare, vet clinic, or animal shelter is required.

- Tech Savvy: Proficient with computers, cloud software (G-Suite/Office), and the ability to learn pet care database management software quickly.
- Interpersonal Power: Exceptional communication skills with a warm, empathetic, and professional phone presence.
