Position Level: Tier 1 Specialist

Job Purpose: To provide technical support to clients, manage IT environments, and optimize customers’ networking environments to facilitate maximum efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction, and to provide logistical support to our team of technicians who are traveling.

Travel Required: None.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and courteous help desk assistance to customers on-site and over the phone, demonstrating a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking, Internet basics and its workings (DNS, security, IP routing, HTTP, VPN, email routing, spam, etc.), and VoIP implementation and support.
  • Collaborate with vendors and clients to coordinate projects including development and installation of IT systems.
  • Build and manage relationships with third party vendors including, but not limited to, AllScripts, Sage, Apple, Intuit, ISPs, etc.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of all IT related processes and implementation plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 1-5 years of experience in the field of information technology or extensive history working for a service-based company.

Benefits: Laptop, cell phone and data plan are provided.

After-hours work: Hours are 8 - 5 each day with only occasional after-hours work necessary.

Compensation listed is a starting salary.
