Overview

Join our dynamic behavioral health team as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), where you will play a vital role in guiding individuals through their recovery journey. Duties

  • Conduct thorough client assessments, including diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSM-5 criteria and ICD coding standards, to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
  • Facilitate intake procedures and coordinate case management activities to connect clients with community resources, home care services, and hospital-based programs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, and behavioral health specialists—to deliver integrated care for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to improve treatment outcomes and support evidence-based practice initiatives.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and crisis management tailored to diverse client needs.
  • Proficiency in child & family counseling, group therapy facilitation, addiction medicine, and mental health counseling techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
  • Skilled in patient assessment, behavioral health interventions, and working with individuals from various cultural backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and medical records management while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive client assessments in therapy settings focusing on substance use disorders and mental health conditions like PTSD.
  • Experience working within hospital environments or community care settings involving home visits or outpatient services.
  • Capable of applying applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles when appropriate for specific client populations.
