Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Private Equity Principal role based in NYC. The Principal will source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities, including leading financial analysis, market research, and transaction structuring. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing due diligence processes, coordinating external advisors, and preparing investment memos and presentations for the investment committee. The role involves active portfolio management, working closely with management teams to develop value-creation plans and monitor performance. The Principal will also contribute to fund strategy, support capital raising efforts, and maintain relationships with intermediaries, co-investors, and other market participants.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Investments skills, including expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and capital structures.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, assess risk/return profiles, and make informed investment recommendations.
- Candidates should possess solid Private Equity experience, including deal sourcing, portfolio management, and familiarity with buyout and growth equity strategies.
- Candidates should possess rigorous Due Diligence capabilities, including commercial, financial, operational, and legal workstreams.
- Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent experience) in finance, economics, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in private equity, investment banking, or leveraged finance is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives, investors, and stakeholders.
