- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the medical office
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule appointments for patients using the designated scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update any changes to personal information
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations at the front desk
```Requirements```
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office setting
-Required travel to Jefferson Hospital office when needed for coverage (call offs and vacation time)
- Proficient in using office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive patient information
