Title:Project Manager (Electrical)
Reports to: W/WW Department Manager
Location: NJ Based (Flanders, Wall, or Hackensack, NJ)
Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
Brief Description
Under minimal direction, serves as the specialist for all electrical engineering tasks, specifically in the planning, design, permitting, agency approvals, and technical construction oversight of various electrical engineering projects and tasks. Candidates shall have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of applicable local, county, and state rules, regulations and industry practices. Familiarity with public bidding procedures and Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 5:34) is necessary. Experience in performing power distribution design, lighting and lighting-controls, emergency power/standby power systems, electrical service upgrade and new service, single-line diagram and electrical schematics, equipment and panel schedules, coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, mechanical, structural, and civil designs, ensure all designs comply with applicable NEC and local requirements, instrumentation and control design, and other related duties as required. Must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods. Responsible for the leadership and management of a project team in support of the project’s profitable operation. Responsible for proactively managing the project technical budget (labor, expenses and sub-consultants), schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, project communications, and successful delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction on every project.
Schedule
Candidate can expect to work approximately 100% of their week in their respective NJ office (hybrid arrangements will be reviewed following 90 days of employment). Company hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.
This position generally works standard business hours, Monday through Friday. However, occasional site visits, field work, client meetings, or business-related events may be scheduled outside of normal working hours. Flexibility in schedule is required to meet business and client needs.

Examples Of Work/duties
- Actively manages technical project components as well as schedule and budget review and understanding. Serves as the technical client liaison to bring the technical project components and scope of work to successful completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
- Perform load calculations, circuit and conductor sizing calculations, protective device coordination studies, Arc Flash calculations, etc.
- Complete power distribution plan designs, single-line drawings, grounding plans, panel schedules, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, lighting plans, control narratives, control schematics, interconnect diagrams, heat trace drawings, etc.
- Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, submittal reviews and approvals, etc.
- Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by design staff. Supervises and mentors design team to overall project objectives.
- Develops innovative project approach and assists in the organization and preparation of proposals.
- Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization and project
- Develops standards and guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining licensure and keeping up with industry standards and software.

- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate area of study – Electrical Engineering.
- PE License.
- 10 Years of related experience.
