Design Analysis Fabricator and Technician Responsibilities Include:
- Fabrication of automotive parts and vehicles.
- Diagnose vehicles.
- Conduct vehicle reviews.
- Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (Chauffer's License is preferred).
- Tools are required. All shop equipment will be provided by the company.
- Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, and willing to do what it takes to complete the job at a high level.
- Must be a reliable team player.
- Must have verifiable mechanical skills in a related field of experience.
- ASE or State Certification in vehicle mechanics is preferred.
- Vehicle electronic diagnostic and programming experience is preferred.
- Understanding of fabrication, including welding and metalworking tools operation.
- Accredited welding certification is preferred.
- Experience in welding aluminum is preferred.
- Able to identify parts and vehicle components with a detailed understanding of vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose system failures.
- Knowledge of customer reporting requirements, based on vehicle or project.
- Willingness to travel in support of departmental work or projects.
- Must be able to work scheduled or last-minute overtime requests as needed or determined by management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications preferred.
- 80% of the time in this position, you will be sitting while working.
- 20% of the time in this position, you will be walking and standing while working.
