Emotional Support Paraprofessional/PCA

STS is now hiring compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support students in the Bristol Borough School District for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping students succeed academically, socially, and personally while working in a supportive school environment.

The PCA position is within an intensive emotional support classroom and involves working closely with students who may have significant emotional, behavioral, and social needs. The role requires patience, flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. Prior experience is preferred, but not required

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Follows the Student School Calendar

Bristol Borough Junior/Senior High School

• Hours: 7:50 AM – 2:25 PM

Snyder-Girotti Elementary School

• Hours: 8:05 AM – 2:40 PM

Position Overview

PCAs work one-on-one or in classroom settings, assisting students with daily activities, personal care, behavioral support, and promoting independence throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or classroom support to students.
• Assist students with personal care and daily living activities as needed.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social goals.
• Encourage independence while ensuring student safety.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and school staff.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate documentation when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required employment clearances and background checks.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
