Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer (EIT or PE) with experience in land development projects throughout San Diego County. This position will contribute to the design and preparation of civil engineering plans and reports for a variety of land development projects.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and eager to take on increasing responsibility with direct exposure to clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare grading, drainage, erosion control and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D
- Perform hydrology & hydraulic (H&H) calculations and prepare drainage reports
- Design stormwater management systems and prepare Storm Water Quality Management Plans (SWQMP)
- Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, architects, and other consultants
- Participate in client meetings and project coordination
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
- EIT certification or licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California (or ability to obtain)
- 2–6 years of experience in land development civil engineering
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of grading & drainage design
Preferred:
- Experience with San Diego County and local jurisdiction requirements
- Familiarity with hydrology software (SDHM, SWMM, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, etc.)
- Experience with stormwater regulations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
