Facilities Manager

Full-Time | On-site | Some Travel Included

Location: Washington, DC 20006

Salary: $145,000  - $175,000annually

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and oversee CLIENT facilities, operations, and security requirements with CLIENT staff, property managers, management firms, vendors, and other stakeholders at all CLIENT sites.

• Develop, operationalize, and continuously improve facilities, operations, and security programs, processes, standards, and service delivery models across CLIENT locations.

• Serve as the CLIENT subject matter expert for facilities, operations, and security systems, including mechanical, utility, workplace, access control, physical security, and related operational systems at all locations.

• Oversee and manage all facilities, operations, and security-related third-party vendor relationships, including vendor staffing, performance, service levels, contract strategies, procurement coordination, and invoice review and approval.

• Lead the preparation, management, and monitoring of the annual facilities, operations, security, and capital budgets for CLIENT headquarters, regional offices, and satellite locations.

• Lead CLIENT space management and utilization planning, including defining metrics and protocols for lease decisions, build-out requirements, floor plan updates, moves, and related workplace planning needs.

• Manage construction, renovation, relocation, and build-out projects based on CLIENT standards and designs, including furniture, physical security installation, move coordination, tenant improvement allowances, project budgets, and cost reconciliations.

• Manage complex facilities and operations contracts and serve as the CLIENT lead for contract strategies in collaboration with Procurement, the Office of General Counsel, vendor executives, and internal stakeholders.

• Oversee facilities and operations technology platforms in collaboration with the Office of Technology to support daily operations, service delivery, reporting, and staff expectations across CLIENT sites.

• Plan and oversee CLIENT events, conferences, meetings, and related space and logistics requirements, including vendor coordination, quotes, purchase orders, event budgets, menus, space options, and safe execution.

• Develop facility operations, maintenance, security, safety, and emergency management briefings, processes, and training programs as required.

• Collaborate with CLIENT divisions and offices to execute facilities, operations, security, safety, event, space, and technology requirements.

• Lead overall safety, physical security, emergency management, and business continuity support for the organization’s operational portfolio, including planning for safety, security, and emergency management technology and programs.

• Manage and execute security for high-profile events and liaise with local and federal law enforcement and emergency services to gather intelligence and coordinate services.

• Plan, coordinate, and participate in periodic safety, emergency preparedness, and evacuation drills at CLIENT sites.

• Interpret and ensure CLIENT compliance with OSHA requirements, industry standards, applicable laws, regulations, policies, and corporate requirements related to workplace safety, facilities, operations, and security.

• Conduct and manage threat, risk, vulnerability, safety, and facility assessments and inspections at CLIENT locations.

• coordinate safety and security training programs, including CPR, First Aid, AED, active shooter, emergency preparedness, and related programs.

• administer the CLIENT ergonomics program, including assessments, employee training, vendor coordination, and support for employee questions or requests.

• Manage the CLIENT parking program.

• Develop, monitor, and report on facilities, operations, and security metrics to support operational performance, risk management, compliance, and decision-making.

• Perform other duties as directed by the Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

 

Requirements

• Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed and respond to after-hours emergencies.

• Ability to travel outside the Washington, DC area, including to Ashburn, VA; Atlanta, GA; and New York, NY.
