Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. Your leadership will help create a positive shopping experience for customers while managing a motivated team.
Duties
- Assist in the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and train staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising products.
- Conduct employee orientation and training sessions to foster team development.
- Participate in recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Maintain store appearance by ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Utilize retail math for pricing, budgeting, and inventory management tasks.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance satisfaction.

Skills
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.

- Experience in payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling practices.
- Knowledge of inventory management techniques and retail math principles.
- Proven management skills with a focus on team management and leadership.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cashiering processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have sales experience
- Background in merchandising, marketing, and retail operations is advantageous.
