We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing procurement processes, supplier relationships, and inventory control to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Your proactive approach will support our growth and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects that shape the future of urban living.
Reports To: Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best pricing and terms.
Procurement:
- Coordinate and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs to determine optimal ordering schedules.
Reporting:
- Prepare reports on purchasing activity, inventory levels, and vendor performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.
- Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to purchasing and supply chain management.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and agreements.
Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve issues related to product discrepancies, delivery delays, or supplier performance.
- Implement solutions to improve purchasing processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Working Conditions:
- Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- May lift/carry: Minimum 5lbs, Maximum >50lbs (Occasionally)
- Employees will use hands for repetitive: Typing, straining, grasping, fine manipulation
- Office environment with occasional visits to supplier sites.
- May require some overtime during peak purchasing periods.
- Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety boots are mandatory in all areas of the plant/production shop floor.
