Summary
The Pole Plant Assistant Supervisor’s main purpose is to assist in running production in a safe and efficient manner to produce a quality product.
The Assistant Supervisor are to be a confident and consistent presence on the production floor, learning all the roles and responsibilities that keep production flowing effectively. As an authority figure in training, they are expected to work alongside Group Leaders to oversee areas, fill in positions, and maintain the pace of production. When making decisions regarding production, the Assistant Supervisor must keep the best interests of Management and StressCrete Group in mind.

Work Shifts:
Days: Monday- Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Nights: Monday - Friday | 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Weekends: Occasionally
Responsibilities:
The Pole Plant Assistant Supervisor is responsible for the following responsibilities as well as any additional responsibilities set by their General Foreman or on an as-needed basis.
Administration:
Ensure all sub-department paperwork is filled out accurately by group leaders.
Take a proactive approach to gain experience in completing all supervisory administrative tasks. (i.e., shift documentation, vacation requests, incident investigations, etc.)
Leadership:
- Assert a proactive and self-motivated approach to gain experience and become proficient in all positions within the Pole Plant.
- Strive to achieve production goals on a daily and weekly basis by maintaining the pace of production set by the
- Supervisor.
- Engage in the team mentality amongst the supervisory team to achieve production goals.
- Maintain a high standard of communication amongst the shift supervisors.
- Ensure that the shift is left in good condition to guarantee a successful start for the following shift.
- Check-in with the General Foreman on a consistent basis throughout the shift to ensure priorities are being met.
- Check-in with the Group Leaders throughout the shift on a daily basis to ensure production goals are on track.
- Immediately address critical injuries, according to StressCrete’s Critical Injury protocols.
- Communicate all employee conflicts in a timely manner, seeking additional support if necessary.
- Provide recommendations on shifting employees into appropriate positions to achieve coverage.
- Identify and assist departments that are not on schedule to achieve production goals. In situations requiring coverage, the Assistant Supervisor must fill in positions.
Operations:
- Ensure all employees are working in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensure all employees wear the required PPE at all times.
- Ensure break times are being abided by and are taken at appropriate times.
- Ensure that positions are being performed to StressCrete SOP standards.
- Ensure that equipment and tool breakdowns/ inefficiencies are reported/ communicated to maintenance and General Foreman.
- Ensure that low inventory levels are communicated with purchaser, inventory supervisor.
- Ensure bathroom and lunchroom cleanups are being completed.
- Ensure that housekeeping and cleanliness is maintained throughout the department.
Educational & Experience:
- 3-5 Years of Leadership Experience.
- Previous experience working as a Group Leader is required.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a team is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to lead production employees in a proactive and positive manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook.

Working Conditions:
- Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety boots are mandatory in all areas of the plant/production shop floor.
