Our client, one of the nation’s largest banks and financial services providers, is seeking to add a Senior Merchant Business Sales Advisor to their team in Pittsburgh, PA. The Opportunity
The Senior Merchant Business Banking Sales Advisor serves as integral member of the Business Banking sales team. With a focus on growing client relationships with payment and card processing needs, the Sales Advisor is an important part of the client's trusted advisor team.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of the role include:
- Acquire new merchant services relationships through prospecting external sources within the assigned territory, as well as through referrals from Retail Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking and Treasury partners.
- Consult with prospective businesses in identifying the proper payment solution to meet the business needs; presents and sells merchant payment processing including credit card, check processing, gift cards, ACH and the corresponding hardware and software products.
- Prospect within an assigned region to supplement bank referrals.
- Comply with all bank policies and procedures.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in training and experience
- A minimum of 3 years of Payments related sales experience in a banking or payment provider environment
- A minimum of 3 years of success in a client focused environment with aggressive growth and service goals required
- Strong financial acumen including the ability to read and understand financial statements
- Exceptional sales, negotiating and closing skills
- Ability to collaborate with internal business partners
At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual base salary range for this position is $70,000-75,000 PLUS a variable commission program, where the total compensation package of meeting sales goals is estimated to be $90,000-$95,000. There is also unlimited upside potential when an individual exceeds sales goals. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as years of experience and skill level.
