Job Title: General Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
Company Overview:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Nickel Alloy pressure vessels built to ASME, API, TEMA, and UL specifications. This role will serve as General Manager for their largest manufacturing plant located in Charlotte, NC. It is a high profile position reporting directly into the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership that reinforces culture, drives alignment, and creates a high-performance, accountable organization.
- Own full Plant P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, EBITDA performance, cash flow, and cost control.
- Lead strategic planning and execute operational initiatives that improve profitability, scalability, and market position.
- Drive performance through KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
- Develop, coach, and strengthen the leadership team to elevate organizational capability and succession readiness.
- Standardize and professionalize operations while maintaining exceptional customer service and on-time delivery.
- Align systems, processes, technology, and resources to support growth and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to strengthen market positioning, pricing strategy, and customer relationships.
- Engage key customers and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and long-term value creation.
- Establish clear expectations, communicate the strategic vision, and hold teams accountable for results.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience with full operational accountability in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven success leading fabrication or engineer-to-order manufacturing environments.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership.
- Track record of building high-performing teams and driving measurable business results.
- Excellent communication and executive presence.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering required.
MBA or MS strongly preferred.
Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
