Job Summary
The Information Technology Specialist provides support to the IT department and end users by ensuring the efficient and secure operation of IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and mobile devices. This role is responsible for setting up devices and software for new hires, maintaining databases to ensure login credentials are secure, and supporting user offboarding processes. IT Specialists also track inventory, answer technical inquiries, and provide user training. They interface directly with vendors and assist with the setup of new user accounts and devices. The IT Specialist must possess strong technical knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate solutions to non-technical users, whether in person, by phone, or remotely. Additionally, the role involves remediating security gaps in existing systems, influencing IT policies, and ensuring adherence to governance standards.
Management Responsibilities
- Coordinate training sessions with Employee Outreach Department.
- Collaborate with leadership to prepare and conduct IT updates and training sessions for staff.
- Work closely with IT Director to ensure proper setup and secure access for new hires during the onboarding process.
- Organize and manage IT support tasks, ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain asset tracking systems to ensure all devices are registered, secured, and in compliance with company policies.
- Provide efficient and friendly end user support.
- Educate users on company software, ensuring secure and proper use of systems and data.
- Lead the design and implementation of IT security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership to define IT security strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data protection and cybersecurity.
- Maintain a comprehensive incident response plan and provide leadership during security breaches or attacks.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive measures to prevent potential risks.
Position Responsibilities

- Address and resolve IT support requests with a friendly, professional attitude while ensuring secure handling of sensitive information.
- Ensure printers and other networked devices are functioning correctly and securely for all employees.
- Assist in additional tasks or projects as needed.

- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
