POSITION OVERVIEW:
STi is seeking a Supply and Service Support Representative (SSSR) / Logistician II to support the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Command Analytical and Remediation Activity (CARA) and its CARA Mobile Expeditionary Laboratory (CMEL) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood, Maryland.
This is a hands-on logistics and sustainment role supporting Government-owned equipment, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment, Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), and designated consumables. The position supports day-to-day readiness through GCSS-Army (GCSS-A) asset/accountability functions, supplemental Logistics Information System (LIS) tracking, inventory control, supply actions, maintenance and calibration coordination, asset visibility, and recurring readiness/status reporting.
The right candidate will bring practical Army/DoD logistics experience, working knowledge of GCSS-A, property accountability discipline, and experience supporting maintenance, calibration, supply, and sustainment functions in an operational environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You’ll support mission readiness for CMEL systems and equipment through hands-on logistics and sustainment execution. Responsibilities include:
- Use GCSS-Army (GCSS-A) as the primary logistics system for inventory management, supply actions, maintenance visibility, and Government equipment accountability.
- Maintain and update a supplemental Logistics Information System (LIS) to capture data not fully tracked in GCSS-A, including serial numbers, consumables, warranty information, maintenance/calibration events, obsolete-item status, stockage objectives, reorder points, and pre-/post-deployment findings.
- Support request, receipt, storage, issuance, delivery, accountability, inventory, and turn-in functions for COTS, GOTS, and designated consumable items.
- Track equipment status and location to support asset visibility and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate equipment and ancillary records, including maintenance history, calibration dates, service documentation, and work-order status.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, calibration, and service actions in accordance with OEM guidance and TB 43-180 requirements for TMDE.
- Track consumable lot numbers and shelf-life expiration dates to support timely resupply and readiness.
- Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for maintenance, repairs, and pickup/delivery of equipment across APG, Edgewood, and other designated Government locations.
- Support pre- and post-deployment assessments; identify damaged, obsolete, or replacement equipment; and document findings in the LIS and monthly reporting.
- Assist with contract transition/start-up and recurring administrative support activities, including support to readiness/status updates, Government-furnished equipment tracking, training/compliance tracking, and related logistics inputs.
- Provide inputs to recurring contract deliverables, including monthly status reporting and asset visibility reporting derived from GCSS-A and LIS data.
- Identify and elevate discrepancies between GCSS-A and the LIS within required timelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance required for this program.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, supply chain, management, or a related field; equivalent military logistics experience may be considered
- 3–5 years of relevant Army/DoD logistics or sustainment experience
- Working experience with GCSS-Army (GCSS-A)
- Experience with property accountability, inventory control, supply support, and equipment record management
- Experience supporting maintenance, calibration, repair coordination, or sustainment tracking
- Familiarity with TMDE support and/or maintenance/calibration processes aligned with TB 43-180
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood, MD
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior Army logistics, sustainment, supply, or property-book support experience
- Experience maintaining a supplemental logistics tracker/database such as SharePoint, Access, Excel-based LIS, or similar tool
- Familiarity with laboratory, analytical, CBRNE, or technical-equipment environments
- Experience with deployment preparation, reset, or post-deployment equipment assessments
- Experience coordinating OEM/vendor repairs and maintaining accountability during shipment/repair cycles
- Prior support experience at APG, Edgewood, or similar Army technical environments
