Are you the technician everyone turns to when a complex avionics issue has them stumped? Strategic Support Solutions is seeking an expert-level Avionics Production Supervisor to lead our specialized post-installation and repair team in Greenville, SC.
This is not an installation role. We are looking for a master troubleshooter and a hands-on leader who can diagnose and resolve the toughest issues on completed Garmin and Collins Pro Line 21 installations. You will lead a small, elite team and be the final authority on complex squawks, ensuring every aircraft leaves our facility in perfect working order.
Your Mission: The Final Word in Avionics Repair
As the leader of our 5-6 person Install Repair team, you will own the entire post-install process, from customer interaction to final sign-off.
- Expert-Level Troubleshooting: Serve as the lead technical expert for diagnosing and repairing complex issues on completed Garmin and Pro Line 21 avionics installations. This includes both in-house projects and drop-in aircraft with pre-existing issues.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, direct, and mentor your team of technicians, assigning tasks and providing technical guidance to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Hands-On Problem Solving: When a problem proves too elusive for the team, you must be willing and able to "hop in" yourself—utilizing your deep knowledge to personally identify the root cause and implement the fix.
- Customer & FAA Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding the status of their repairs. Interface directly with the FAA for inspections and compliance verification.
- Process & Quality Control: Ensure all work is documented accurately and that all repairs and modifications meet strict FAA and manufacturer guidelines.
What You Bring to the Table:
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in General Aviation avionics.
- Demonstrated mastery of troubleshooting Garmin and/or Collins Pro Line 21 systems is mandatory.
- Proven leadership ability, with experience directing or mentoring other technicians.
- An expert-level understanding of avionics system integration, schematics, and post-installation diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- An active A&P license or FCC GROL.
- Experience in a Part 145 repair station environment.
- Prior supervisory or lead technician experience.
