Strategic Results is seeking a Consultant to support program management, organizational improvement, and business modernization initiatives for the U.S. Forest Service. The Consultant will work closely with Government project managers and multidisciplinary teams to improve business processes, support policy and program implementation, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and deliver analytical products that strengthen the management of natural resource programs.

The ideal candidate is an experienced management consultant with strong analytical and communication skills who thrives in collaborative environments, can manage multiple priorities, and develops practical solutions to complex organizational challenges

Key Responsibilities

· Support USDA Forest Service program managers in planning, coordinating, and executing program and project activities.

· Analyze business processes and recommend improvements that increase operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

· Develop business process documentation, workflow diagrams, process maps, and supporting documentation.

· Facilitate meetings, workshops, interviews, and working sessions with Government staff, partners, and stakeholders.

· Assist with organizational development, change management, and process modernization initiatives.

· Conduct research, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and prepare reports, white papers, briefing materials, and recommendations.

· Develop performance measures, benchmarking approaches, and business improvement methodologies.

· Support development of policy guidance, technical documentation, learning materials, presentations, and decision-support products.

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams supporting natural resource management, environmental programs, and organizational initiatives.

· Prepare executive briefings and presentation materials for conferences, training events, workshops, and leadership meetings.

· Support implementation of Section 508-compliant communications and documentation, as applicable.

· Utilize Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and other collaboration and project management tools to manage project activities.

· Maintain effective communication with Government stakeholders while supporting multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.

Qualifications

Required:

· U.S. Citizenship.

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Organizational Development, Natural Resources, or a related field.

· Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree with four (4) years of experience.

· Experience supporting business process improvement, organizational development, management consulting, or program management initiatives.

· Experience facilitating meetings, interviews, workshops, or stakeholder engagements.

· Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Experience developing reports, process documentation, executive presentations, and recommendations.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Preferred:

· Experience supporting the U.S. Forest Service, USDA, or another Federal civilian agency.

· Knowledge of natural resource management programs or environmental policy.

· Experience supporting federal program management, strategic planning, or organizational transformation efforts.

· Familiarity with business process modeling, change management methodologies, performance measurement, and benchmarking.

· Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams in hybrid or remote work environments.

· Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for Federal deliverables.

· PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, or similar professional certification.

Strategic Results

In this role, you will help the U.S. Forest Service improve how it plans, manages, and delivers critical programs that support America's forests and public lands. Your expertise will contribute to organizational improvements, informed decision-making, and effective collaboration across diverse stakeholders while supporting the agency's mission to care for the land and serve people.

Pay: $88,000.00 per year
