Strategic Results is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to lead program management support efforts for the U.S. Forest Service. The Senior Consultant will oversee multiple teams supporting the National Forest System by providing policy guidance, strategic direction, and program management expertise to advance ecosystem management initiatives across social, economic, and ecological disciplines.
This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive federal consulting experience, strong leadership capabilities, and expertise in organizational improvement, business transformation, and natural resource management.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead business process improvement and organizational modernization initiatives supporting U.S. Forest Service programs.
· Apply business improvement and reengineering principles to enhance operational effectiveness and organizational performance.
· Manage and support the transition of project teams while ensuring successful execution of project objectives and deliverables.
· Facilitate meetings, workshops, interviews, and training sessions with Government stakeholders and project teams.
· Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and guidance to consultants and project staff as required.
· Develop and implement methodologies for organizational assessments, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
· Analyze business operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend best practices to enhance program performance.
· Demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills and implement practical solutions to complex organizational challenges.
· Build strong working relationships with Government personnel and serve as a trusted advisor throughout project execution.
· Support performance measurement, benchmarking, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple programs.
Qualifications
Required:
· U.S. Citizenship
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or a related field with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience; or
· Master's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
· Extensive experience in management consulting, business process improvement, or organizational development.
· Demonstrated expertise in change management, organizational assessments, business process modeling, and performance improvement methodologies.
· Experience facilitating executive-level meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
· Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
· Ability to lead multiple teams and manage complex federal consulting engagements.
Preferred:
· Experience supporting the U.S. Forest Service, USDA, or other Federal agencies.
· Knowledge of natural resource management and ecosystem management programs.
· Experience developing business improvement methodologies and implementing organizational transformation initiatives.
· Experience mentoring and training consulting staff.
· Familiarity with federal contracting environments and Government program management best practices.
