What you’ll do
- Support Joint planning efforts end to end: mission analysis, COA development, wargaming/analysis, COA comparison, and decision support
- Translate commander’s intent into clear planning outputs, including operational approaches, briefings, and written products
- Provide CWMD and WMD-T (WMD-Terrorism) planning support during planning events such as OPTs and JPTs
- Coordinate planning inputs and assessments across Joint Staff, OSD, other Combatant Commands, and relevant interagency stakeholders
- Help improve and refine CWMD-related plans, policies, and planning processes through analysis and recommendations
- Produce executive-ready products such as briefings, planning summaries, assessments, and recommendation
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Graduate of JCPC (Joint Countering WMD Planning Course), CWMD Senior Staff Planners Course, or equivalent
- 5 years of WMD-related planning experience
- 3 years of experience at a Geographic or Functional Combatant Command Headquarters
- Special Operations and/or Counterterrorism planning experience tied to CWMD/WMD-T efforts
- Strong briefing skills and comfort supporting senior leaders
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across joint and interagency environments
