Location: Irvine, CA
Pay Rate: $21 per hour
Employment Type: Part-Time

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday (3:00pm - 6:00pm) & Friday (2:30pm - 5:00pm)

Overview

We're hiring After School Mentors to support TK-5th grade students during the afterschool program at a Jewish community day school in Irvine. You’ll work directly with students in the program 1:1 and in small groups leading enrichment activities and helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

• Support lesson plans, educational activities, and homework assistance.

• Provide individualized support to students.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with staff and families while maintaining organized and safe program spaces.

Requirements

Must Have Requirements

• At least 3 months of experience working or volunteering with children

• Strong communication, patience, and positive reinforcement skills.

• Ability to adapt to varying student needs and maintain composure under pressure.

• High school diploma or equivalent (education students encouraged to apply).

• CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed).

• Must be 18 years or older

Nice to Have

• Students pursuing Education / Child development / Psychology coursework or degrees encouraged to apply

• Experience in after-school programs, summer camps, tutoring, or youth mentoring

• Bilingual communication skills
