A well-respected and longstanding law firm is looking to add a Litigation Legal Assistant to their team. You would be supporting multiple stakeholders and litigation attorneys through complex legal processes from start to finish.
Type: 3-month Contract-to-hire
Location: Chicago (Loop)
Schedule: 5x/wk Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, format, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation-related materials.
- Manage electronic court filings, ensuring strict adherence to state and federal filing deadlines and procedures.
- Coordinate and maintain attorneys' calendars
- Serve as a professional and responsive point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
Essential qualifications:
- 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant
- Strong background in litigation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
