What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tufting Coordinator position at STR Synthetic Turf Resources?
Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Planning, Tufting Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, creating and maintaining production inventory and supply schedule that supports the Tufting Department and Manufacturing needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to proactively address issues that may potentially impact the quality or efficiency of the production process or product
- Tufting / Manufacturing:
- Review production schedules
- Review and track work orders
- Determine material requirements or material priorities
- Provide daily updates
- Work with Tufting and manufacturing groups to maintain a schedule
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Coating, Shipping and Extrusion departments to ensure coordination of purchasing and production
- Create and maintain material supplier weekly forecast including establishing lead-times, lot sizes, and safety stocks
- Establish a material supply plan to ensure on time availability of products to fill customer orders and on-time shipments
- Attend all corporately scheduled meetings fully prepared
- Monitoring the production processes and adjusting material supply schedules as needed
- Assist in Researching/Resolving yarn inventory problems
- Maintain various file systems
- Work directly with yarn vendors in assigning orders and with forecast requirements

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Education: HS diploma/GED required
- Experience: 3-5 years of job specific experience
- Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with management, staff, and other internal and external customers
- Familiar with personal computers with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
