The tufting mechanic is responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting any mechanical issues related to the tufting machine and other equipment affiliated with the machine. Provide preventive maintenance to insure all equipment is maintained and documented.
1st Shift
Essential Functions
Under limited supervision and much decision-making:
- Work in a safe manner
- Report any unsafe conditions
- Help maintain housekeeping
- Must have knowledge of all general hand tools
- Ability to do style setups and document
- Blade a machine
- Assist with cam changes
- Assist operators with machine problems
- Assist with any minor and major breakdowns
- Ability to perform PM’s with little supervision
- General mechanical knowledge in order to perform job duties.
- Ability to read a tape measure, stitch gauge, or measurement tools as needed.
- Tufting mechanic experience is preferred. Must be flexible on hourly schedule.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Assist in the accomplishment of Company goals.
- Helps other employee to accomplish Company goals.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
- Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required
