A leading North American power & energy infrastructure platform is seeking a Senior Vice President of Markets & Research to lead its market analytics, forecasting, and fundamental research capabilities across U.S. power markets.
This is a highly strategic leadership role focused on shaping investment decisions, commercial optimization, portfolio strategy, and long-term planning across a large-scale generation and transmission platform.
The role sits at the intersection of power markets, quantitative modeling, and executive decision-making, partnering closely with trading, acquisitions, development, and asset management teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead power market modeling and research strategy across U.S. markets
• Oversee long- and short-term forecasting models across pricing, congestion, supply/demand, and policy impacts
• Deliver market outlooks supporting investments, acquisitions, and portfolio optimization
• Conduct scenario analysis, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis for risk and capital allocation
• Evaluate regulatory, market structure, and technology changes impacting asset value
• Build and lead a high-performing team of analysts and modelers
Candidate Profile
• 15 years of experience across power market analysis, modeling, or research leadership
• Deep expertise in U.S. power markets and price formation dynamics
• Strong quantitative, statistical, and modeling capabilities
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and investment decisions
• Proven track record building and leading analytical teams
• Strong communication skills across both technical and commercial audiences
