This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.
You will oversee the full lifecycle, from design and construction through commissioning and operational handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, construction, and operations, requiring strong technical depth and program leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full project lifecycle: planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Own project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and resource planning
- Establish governance frameworks, reporting cadence, and executive dashboards
- Identify risks, maintain risk registers, and drive mitigation strategies
- Ensure contractor performance aligns with contractual milestones and delivery targets
- Support procurement strategies and delivery models (EPC, D&B, CM)
Engineering & Technical Oversight:
- Review and coordinate designs across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, and IT infrastructure systems
- Validate redundancy strategies (N 1, 2N, etc.) and ensure high-availability design
- Ensure compliance with standards (Uptime Tier III/IV, NFPA, IEC, TIA, ISO)
- Coordinate with utilities for grid interconnection and energization
- Oversee HV/MV infrastructure, protection schemes, and power system studies
- Manage vendors, consultants, and contractors to meet technical requirements
Program & Stakeholder Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, operations, and vendors
- Act as the primary interface between internal teams, clients, utilities, and partners
- Manage CAPEX budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting
- Track procurement timelines and mitigate supply chain risks
- Support executive reporting, capital planning, and investment approvals
- Mentor junior engineers and project staff
Commissioning & Handover:
- Ensure smooth transition to operations including documentation (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs)
- Drive operational readiness and uptime performance targets
- Validate key metrics such as PUE, WUE, and system reliability
- Support training and post-handover stabilization
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering
- 4 years of experience in data center construction, commissioning, or infrastructure delivery
- Proven track record delivering hyperscale or Tier III data centers (50MW preferred)
- Strong understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, power distribution, UPS, and generators
- Experience managing EPC / D&B contractors and complex project environments
- Proficiency with project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with campus-scale developments and high-voltage grid integration
- Certifications such as PMP, CDCP, or Accredited Tier Designer (ATD)
- Familiarity with BMS/SCADA systems and advanced cooling technologies (liquid cooling, etc.)
- Background working with hyperscale or colocation data center operators
