Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Source materials, supplies, and equipment from vendors based on project and operational needs.
- Evaluate vendor pricing, availability, and alternatives to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Process order requests and issue purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and verify pricing, quantities, and supporting documentation.
- Code invoices to the correct cost codes, cost categories, and general ledger codes.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date purchasing and invoice records.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies, missing information, or shipment issues.
- Verify receipt of purchased items and ensure documentation is complete and updated in the accounting system.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong data entry skills with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, accounting, billing, or construction preferred.
- Experience with vendor sourcing, price comparison, purchase order management, or invoice coding strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer and software skills as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong vendor relationship management, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain priorities in a dynamic environment.
