NEW Mid-Level Defamation Attorney Opportunity
Location: Alexandria, VA
Schedule: Full-time, on-site
Salary: $185,000–$235,000
Stonegate Workforce Group is recruiting a Mid-Level Defamation Attorney for a highly regarded boutique litigation firm in the Alexandria, VA / Washington, D.C. metro area.
The firm is seeking a 2nd-4th year litigation associate with excellent academic credentials, exceptional legal-writing skills, and the ability to manage sophisticated matters with limited supervision.
Responsibilities:
* Manage significant defamation and complex commercial litigation matters.
* Develop case strategies, jury themes, and persuasive narratives.
* Draft pleadings, briefs, strategy memoranda, and demand letters.
* Conduct legal research and high-level document review.
* Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and other proceedings.
* Engage with publishers and broadcasters regarding pre-publication matters.
* Advise senior executives, investors, and public figures on sensitive disputes.
* Collaborate with nationally recognized partners on high-profile matters.
Qualifications:
* J.D. and active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
* 2 - 4 years of substantive litigation experience.
* Strong academic record and exceptional research and writing skills.
* Ability to advance matters independently and perform under pressure.
* Federal clerkship, plaintiff-side litigation, or media-law experience is preferred.
