NEW Junior Litigation Associate Opportunity
Location: Alexandria, VA
Schedule: Full-time, on-site
Salary: $165,000–$205,000
Stonegate Workforce Group is recruiting 2-3 Junior Litigation Associates for a highly regarded boutique litigation firm in the Alexandria, VA/Washington, D.C. metro area.
The firm is seeking a first- through third-year associate or recent federal judicial clerk with excellent academic credentials, exceptional legal-writing skills, and strong emotional intelligence. Attorneys will work on sophisticated defamation, media, reputational, and commercial litigation matters involving high-profile clients.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and strategy memoranda.
* Develop case theories, litigation themes, and persuasive narratives.
* Draft demand letters seeking corrections, retractions, and other remedies.
* Assist with depositions and witness preparation.
* Support pre-publication counseling involving publishers and media organizations.
* Communicate directly with senior executives, investors, and public figures.
* Collaborate with partners on plaintiff-side litigation positioned for trial.
Qualifications:
* J.D. and active U.S. bar membership.
* One to three years of litigation experience or a recent federal clerkship.
* Strong academic record and outstanding legal-writing skills.
* Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to perform under pressure.
* Media, journalism, entertainment, streaming, or cryptocurrency experience is a plus.
