Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of menu items efficiently while maintaining high quality and presentation
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by ensuring timely meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent service delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide role, or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife handling and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or food service operations is a plus
