Summary
As an Elementary School Teacher at StoneBridge Christian Academy, you will have the opportunity to shape young minds in a supportive and engaging environment. This role is essential in delivering quality education and fostering a love for learning among our students. Teach a small group of ( 6-18 students) in an enriched environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with Abeka curriculum standards.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Create a welcoming and warm environment for students to learn.
- Lead students to Christ through Scripture and example.
- Incorporate literacy education strategies to enhance reading and writing skills.
- Utilize learning technology to support instruction and student engagement.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering their personal growth.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to ensure holistic development of each child.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- A christian and believer in Jesus Christ. Able to teach students about your faith.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Strong skills in behavior management and classroom organization.
- Experience in lesson planning and delivering effective instruction.
- Knowledge of literacy education practices is essential.
- Self motivated and creative learning practices, teaching outside the box.
- Ability to mentor and support students academically and socially.
- Proficient in using learning technology for educational purposes.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
